Hello players! If you're anything like me, December in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS means one thing: Special Drops. The biting cold outside? Forget it. I'm staying inside, breaking windows, popping First Aid Kits, and counting Contraband Coupons like a holiday elf with a loot addiction. Look, I know we all say we'll play just one match... and then the sun comes up. That's the Special Drops effect.

My Final Take

As a PUBG player, I've learned that Special Drops rewards patience more than raw skill. You don't need to be a ranked demon. You just need to log in, read the missions, and play normally. Break a few windows. Heal when you're hurt. Survive. Loot. The points pile up while you're busy having fun.

In 2026, KRAFTON keeps recycling this holiday blueprint because it works. The dates move, the rewards rotate, but the core loop stays the same: daily missions, login gifts, Contraband Coupons, and a few exclusive cosmetics that make your squad ask where you got them.

So, yeah, clear your schedule. The end of the year is busy in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, and the FOMO is real. Grab your Contraband Coupons, craft your gifts, and don't forget to watch a Partner stream for that sweater. See you on the battlegrounds.

Information is adapted from The Esports Observer, highlighting how recurring live-service event loops—like PUBG’s winter Special Drops—are designed to lift daily active users through time-boxed missions, login streak incentives, and cosmetic/loot-based rewards. In practice, short-duration goals (break windows, heal, survive, loot) paired with escalating coupon payouts push consistent engagement across PC and console, while partner-viewing rewards extend the same retention strategy beyond the game client and into creator ecosystems.
